Hello all,
I’m sitting at the laptop, getting ready to jump in the shower again. Between the sun and the mosquitos, I’m a mess.
It seems that the recent storms have made the mosquitos an evil menace here on the farm. They are out in droves. I’m hoping that in the next couple of days that the birds take care of them.
Meanwhile, Dad drove in to Garretson to continue helping with the cleanup. I was too pooped to pop, so I stayed home. I did feed and water the rabbits and the chickens, so it wasn’t a wasted day. However, not much else got done around here. I’m just too tired and sweaty.
I’ve been trying every home remedy I can find for a summer rash under my shirt. It’s miserable. I hate the creams that the Dr’s prescribe because they always smell just rotten. I’d rather smell like diaper rash cream than that crap. So, I’m trying everything from Aloe Vera to Listerine to Diatomaceous Earth… Next, I will try diaper rash ointment, because like I said, I can’t take it anymore. The itching is maddening.
We may be expecting rain in the next 24 hours. I’m hoping and praying that the roof at my Brother’s house is repaired by then. I don’t know if or when the work will be done, but I’m praying.
Other than that, there’s not much to write about. I’ve got to just jump in the shower and scrub up and crawl into bed. Have a good night. I’m thinking that if I can, I’m going to write a morning edition and an evening or bedtime edition from now on. Take care all, rest well.
