We was real

Morning, it’s sometime between 2 and 3 in the morning, and I have 33 ounces of hot decaf coffee next to me. I’m bundled up in socks, pajama bottoms, and a sweater. I could be cozy, but I’m freezing my toes off. I’ve finally broken down and added slippers to the grocery list. I can’t keep my feet warm to save them.

I’m currently watching tv on my tablet, and I’ve been studying half the night. With the step study, I want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row. I was reminded by the testimony of one of the people on tv of an old roommate I’d had back in the boozing and using days.

She kept using those words, “We was real”. I heard it on the tablet, and about lost my coffee all over the keyboard. Not choice, to use old slang. It was back in the 1990’s and this female just couldn’t put two and two together and get four.

To make a long story short, she was crazy, and I’m grateful that I don’t live with her anymore.

Meanwhile, I’ve got to get back to work. The books don’t study themselves, and if I want to be real on the step study videos, I have to bone up on the program yet again.

Hugs all,

In loving service to others

Good evening all. Been doing service work, and hiding behind closed doors here in lovely Worthington, Minnesota. Haven’t left the house in 13 days. Since currently things outside the house are going awry, it’s best to stay home.

So, I’ve started doing live videos on step studies on Facebook again. It’s similar to the old podcast, one where I can show my screen live, combining the miracles of zoom and facebook live.

I’m thinking of doing something on youtube as well for the knitterly goodness, or maybe on the anonymous knitter facebook page. Yes, it is still hiding out there somewhere.

We will see. Doing service work is helping me to stay sane, and using the tools that both zoom and facebook provide saves me so much money compared to the old podcast system. Sighs, Having to go with the cheapest possible option.

So, life goes on.

Meanwhile, if you are interested in the recovery portion, here are the links you will need. I switch the step studies between AA and NA every other day.

Hairpins

I buy hairpins in bulk batches. Those tiny pieces of metal seriously keep me occupied during the day.

My latest style involves saying screw it while I grab a stray length. With my other hand I grab a hair pin and wind the suckered up. Mashing it into my scalp, hoping for the best.

I hate having hair in my face. Yet, to cut it, creates more problems. I have a hate hate relationship with my hair now a days.

Sighs, life gets teejious don’t it.
