A night in the office

Morning all, the sun is rising, Duke’s keeping an eye on the neighborhood, and all is well. I couldn’t sleep last night, I really tried, but I just kept coughing. So I decided to relax in the garage for a bit. I fell asleep in my recliner.

Woke up with the sun this morning, and am feeling pretty good. It’s one of those too much phlegm times you know. Duke just yelled at a neighbor, I had to remind him to mind his business. My coffee is cold in the mug, and it reminds me that it is almost iced coffee time of year again.

Yesterday I jokingly asked my daughter if I could buy more books. I’d just gotten the book shelves filled with my current stock. She said “Yes”. So I ran with it. My husband had a Dr’s appointment, so after dropping him off, I went to the Bible Mission Thrift Store. I know, it’s under a different name now, but I know it as the Mission.

I picked up all kinds of books, and really had a blast. They are dirt cheap there. After my husband got out of his appointment, I dropped him off at home. Then I went to goodwill. Also cheap books, but not as cheap as the Mission. Sighs. I still brought my treasures home.

I didn’t feel the normal anxiety I feel coming home that I usually do. That’s a huge difference. I opened the big garage door, brought in my treasures, and relaxed for the rest of the day. I sat and read awhile, and stitched for awhile longer. Eventually, I joined a meeting and stitched.

Finally, you know what happened at bed time, and here we are.

It’s a good day so far today, and I might sit and read, I might stitch. I might do some other things. We’ll see what happens. Take care my friends. -L
