They’re coming to take me away

Morning all, hope you are well. It’s currently white outside. Inside, I have a mug of the warm caffeinated therapy juice. My beloved is behaving (Thank the inventor of cookies.) And Young Master Duke is successfully nestled all snug in the bed.

Lately, I have been craving taco salad again. You know, start with the most expensive foods from the store, whack it in layers in a bowl. Make sure that you have ground beef and other expensive foods in there with spices. Eaten until gentle tears and burps happen. That’s taco salad for me. It costs about 40 dollars to buy the ingredients to make it for 2 adults right now.

Maybe that is why I am craving it. I have mentioned on this site that I am quite spoiled. Our days of 40 dollar meals are behind us. I’d rather, much rather have 4 meals for 2 for that 40, but I degress.

Meanwhile, I’m currently working on a shawl. I don’t know if I have mentioned this before, but yarn hates me. I mean really hates me. Yarn is out to send me on the short bus to the special room with soft walls. Yarn wants me in tears, curled up in a ball and wimpering for my teddy bear.

On a side note, yes, I do have a teddy bear. I mean, why wouldn’t I?

Back to my arch-nemesis. Yarn is out to get me. I have been asked to make this shawl. I’m ready to throw the needles, hooks, books and everything into the bin. Sighs. Okay the truth? I’m procrastinating doing this shawl. I really am doing everything I can to get out of doing this shawl. I hate shawl knitting… I really do. (It doesn’t help that I have 5 other shawls in progress.)

Sighs, I want my teddy bear and a lolly!

I better go, it’s time for my scheduled knitting bit. Take care my friends. If you don’t hear from me in a few days, it means that I’ve gone off the deep end even further, and the yarn has won.

Sniffle, whimper, hugs. -L
