Morning all, I’m waiting for the fellas or the sun to get up. I’m unsupervised again, and nothing I can do but wait for them to do what needs to be done.
I cut out the first dress yesterday. I hand hemmed the neck and the front half of the arm holes. I want to get the back half done this morning, and the side seams done. I didn’t expect to enjoy doing hand hemming more than machine hemming. However, it’s more accurate. I’m not having to waste time ripping out and retrying again and again.
I’m looking forward to wearing this little dress, and I’m debating on taking it past knee length with a ruffle or not. We will see. I’m not big into ruffles. I do want to add pockets, though, simply because… pockets. I’m planning on throwing them into the side seams, and have them almost ready to go in. I just need to pin them into place.
I am hoping to get this dress done and in the wash today for a gentle cycle.
