Below zero blues

Mr Duke has gone out, and sung the song of his people. Sadly, it’s 11 below zero out there, and he couldn’t spend enough time getting the news, sports and weather because none of the other dogs were out in this cold stuff. Now, he is resting, waiting for warmer weather, curled up on my bed.

Yesterday was the Hubsy’s testing, and now we wait for the results. While he was at the Hospital, I waited at home. I got busy. I resorted the livingroom, studio, dungeon, office space. Moved some book shelves and furniture around etc…

Wait, what, I thought you were in a wheelchair? Yes, I am, I’m not helpless though. Between physics and math, I was able to get it done. Chuckle, and you thought you’d never need math beyond school. I needed to know how much force applied where to move the loaded bookshelves.

The good news is that I survived, and so did the Hubsy.. Weirdly enough, for the first time in many years, we are sleeping with our beds side by side again. I’d forgotten how nice it was to wake up next to him.

He is my Hubsy, there may be days I want to throttle him, He is my beloved shuggy lump.

That said, I better get the morning chores done. I have to test my blood sugars and take my meds. I also have to work on a knitting or hooking project. Hugs, -L
