Morning all, for the coffee before the coffee is done… I follow the following proceedure.
The night before, at bedtime, I make a pot of coffee, and put it directly in the fridge. While the coffee maker in the morning, (a little 5 cupper) is brewing, I can zap a quick cup and enjoy until the 3 brain cells I have left try to function.
However, the other method.
Grab a 1 liter mug from the cupboard. Boil 1 cup of water in the microwave. In the meantime, boil the rest of the water on the stove. Add the microwave water, 1 tsp of instant coffee, creamer and sweetener to taste to the 1 liter mug. Stir the stuffing out of it.
When the stove has done it’s work, add the boiling stove water to the liter size mug. Meanwhile, the coffee maker is taking its sweet arsed time, and I am at the desk, writing blog posts and getting my morning started.
I know, instant coffee isn’t to everyone’s taste, however needs must. Coffee and yarn are life. -L
P.S. Walmart used to sell see through glass 1 liter mugs for $2. I don’t know if they still do, however for either hot or cold coffee they are my goto. -L
