There’s a hymn that I know, that is a bit of an earworm. I remember it from childhood. It’s called Be Not Afraid, by Bob Dufford. The refrain is rocking through my head this morning.
“Be not afraid.
I go before you always.
Come, follow me, and I will give you rest.”
My faith in God stems from this hymn. My trust in His plan for my life grew from this seed. Today, I woke up screaming from pain again.
God’s got this, and I’m going to be okay. I need to trust, love and pray.
