What a storm

We had our regularly scheduled rain storm last night, complete with tornado warnings, thunder and lightning. According to the weather channel’s app, lightning hit the farm last night. Needless to say it was a short night with the pillow.
I’m going to need a nap.
We had to postpone my Dr appointment until Friday. I’m in enough pain today to make the drive impossible. However, it’s part and parcel of life. My Dr is a 1 hour drive away. I was in no condition this morning to head to town in the rain on less than two hours of sleep.
Perhaps I need to reduce my coffee intake.
Perhaps.
Nope.
Meanwhile, the 4th was the Anniversary of Mom’s death. I didn’t bring it up to anyone at the time, because it didn’t matter to the people around me. It mattered to me though, and it was a hard day. I’m still a little touchy on the subject.
Today is a sit in the rocking chair kind of day, and shortly, that’s what I’m going to do. I have to get the chickens fed and watered first.
That’s about all.
Take care,
Louise Ann Benjamin
